The firm is sad to announce the passing of James “Jim” C. Harrison, Jr., attorney/senior partner and founding member of our law firm. It was his soaring intellect and passion for justice that endeared each and every one of us to Jim, but it was his approachable nature and genuine generosity that caused all of HR&S to respect and love him. Jim was a beloved member of our law firm and will be sorely missed. The firm wishes to share its condolences with his family including his wife, Elizabeth “Jimmilib” Burch Harrison and his children: James Carlisle Harrison III of Columbia, Elizabeth Lawrence Harrison of Missoula, Montana, and Elena Ladygina Reynholds of Rumson, New Jersey.
Jim’s family has announced that visitation with them will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel in Columbia and that a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Shandon United Methodist Church in Columbia.
